Christmas and Holiday Appeal 2023-24
Christmas appeal banner.png

The holiday season can be a difficult and complicated time. It’s a time full of pressures – to buy gifts, to be sociable, to seem happy and to be grateful.

But, for some, the reality of the holidays can be even more confronting.

The pressures and stresses of the season can amplify existing feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Christmas is always expensive, but there is even more financial pressure with the rising cost of living.

When someone reaches their crisis point, we know how important it is for them to be met with compassion and empathy, and to find connection with someone who cares.

Our goal is to remain available to listen, without judgment, to any person in Australia who is feeling overwhelmed, experiencing crisis or longs to be heard.

It costs Lifeline $39 for every call answered – meeting people in their darkest hour.

Your contribution will help ensure that people struggling to hold on to hope will always find someone on the end of the line to listen and provide them with the support they need.
