About us

Our centres operate on the traditional lands of the Tharawal and Darug peoples. We honour their Elders — past, present, and emerging — and acknowledge their enduring custodianship of the land.

Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney is part of a national network dedicated to supporting Australians in emotional distress. We provide 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services to ensure no one faces their darkest moments alone.

We’re here for anyone in Australia who feels overwhelmed, is experiencing crisis, or simply needs to be heard. Our trained team listens without judgment, offering connection, compassion, and hope.

While our reach is national, our approach is deeply local. We respond to the immediate needs of the communities we serve, delivering support where it’s needed most.

We serve 16 local government areas across Sydney’s West and South West, the Southern Highlands, and the Southern Tablelands — supporting over 3.5 million Australians.

Our catchment includes:

Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Goulburn-Mulwaree, Hawkesbury, The Hills Shire, Liverpool, Parramatta, Penrith, Wingecarribee Shire, Wollondilly, and Queanbeyan–Palerang Regional Council.

Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney is an entity of the Uniting Church in Australia Synod of NSW & ACT. Our Board, appointed by the Parramatta Nepean Presbytery, governs our health and community service activities.

We are a Public Benevolent Institution, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission, and endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient.
