What is a Suicide Prevention Hub?

The Suicide Prevention Hub is a digital space for you as frontline workers, support staff and contributors in the area to find information, services, activities and events that support positive mental health and suicide prevention in our local community.

What can I find on the hub?

A calendar of local events that support suicide prevention, community wellness and networking. Suicide Prevention Network information by location. You can also find details about services provided by Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney.

Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney Suicide Prevention Networks

Our Suicide Prevention Networks bring together likeminded professionals, individuals, and peers with lived and living experience of suicide to help build suicide safe communities. 

To join one or more of the networks, or to be a guest speaker and share information to the network about the support you need or your business opportunities, reach out to the team - suicidepreventionhub@lifelinemws.org.au

Western Sydney SPN

The Western Sydney Suicide Prevention Network covers the Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Penrith, Westmead, Blacktown, and Hills districts.

The group meets online every second month on the third Thursday of each month between 10.30am and 12pm & minutes are shared after meetings. For more information and a list of local support services click here

Eclipse is an eight-week closed support group for people 18+ who have attempted suicide. The group offers emotional support and explores coping strategies to help participants stay safe.

Whether the suicide was recent or happened many years ago, the Suicide Bereavement Support Group can help anyone who has been impacted by suicide.

Our accredited trainers work with participants to destigmatise mental health issues and encourage help-seeking. Book Mental Health First Aid, ASIST, SafeTALK, Accidental Counsellor and more.

We offer free financial counselling to help reduce the burden on families, improve the wellbeing of our communities and reduce the risk of suicide incidence and ideation.

DV-alert is led by experienced trainers dedicated to ending violence against women and children. Our workshops provide a safe space for frontline workers to be empowered to recognise and respond confidently to those in crisis.

Crisis Supporter Workplace Training builds skills of members of the public in becoming Lifeline Crisis Supporters, providing support to people in Australia who are having difficulty coping and may be at risk of suicide.
