Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney DV alert trainers attended an Aboriginal Bicultural Awareness workshop provided by the Healing Centre for Griefology at UTS on 6 June.
Griefology is a holistic approach to re-establishing grieving to healing processes as "a pathway out of Aboriginal disadvantage that will sustain Aboriginal prosperity".
The facilitator, Rosemary Wanganeen, is an experienced griefologist and Kaurna Elder with ancestral links to Kaurna of the Adelaide Plains and Wirringu from the West Coast.
Her heartfelt workshop captured her audience as she shared her personal experiences and took participants through the Seven Phrases to Integrating Loss and Grief.
"A truly unique workshop like no other!"
